On March 2 of last year, Claude Kalsakau died unexpectedly as a result of a spike in his blood sugar (diabetes). He left behind his wife, Rosemary (who was 5 months pregnant at the time of his death), a son, Tari, and a daughter, Liz. In addition to being an active and loving father and husband, we was a worker for the Lord. His absence is still felt in all these areas a year later.
Each year on March 2, we would like to remind our friends in the blogosphere of Rosemary and the kids. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Claude Jr., last July. Tari is now in class 3, and Liz started kindergarten in January. Family members, friends and Christians have been helping this family with their day-to-day needs, and our appeal last year resulted in the establishment of a $4,025 fund that will eventually go towards helping with the children’s school fees.
As Christ-followers, we are called to love and serve as Jesus exampled. If you are seeking a legitimate opportunity to give, allow us to suggest supporting this Christian family with a donation on this anniversary of Claude’s death.
All funds may be sent to our sponsoring congregation, and earmarked “Vanuatu Widow Fund.” 100% of the money received will go to helping this family with their personal needs.
