Cyclone Pam 3/15 PM

Too, we are unable to receive news from anyone outside of Vila/Etas. I plan to drive to Eton/Epau this afternoon. My inclination is that Malekula and Santo are fine, because they were so far west of the eye (I was able to talk to folks in NW Malekula after the storm was south of their latitude).

The physical damage here on Efate Island is very significant. I assume news outlets are sharing more eloquently that we can. Our elders at Perkins (OK) Church of Christ are going to be setting up a special bank account on Monday morning, and will link it to a GoFundMe account for easy transactions. If you prefer to support our Vanuatu Relief Effort via check, they may be sent to:

Let us know of you have questions. We've had little sleep the last two nights (Pam on Friday night and 16 from Etas Village on Saturday night), and nerves are definitely frazzled. The ni-Vans' faithful, determined reactions have been encouraging. They lost everything and we lost nothing, and we're the ones who are frazzled!! Thank you Lord for teaching us lessons, even in this difficult time.
We are very grateful to have running water, but the power won't be on for several days or weeks.
Much love from Vanuatu!! ~E
